About Noe Baladad 𝄞

Aloha! I’m Noe Baladad — pianist, educator, and mentor based in Honolulu. For over 12 years, I’ve been guiding students to grow in artistry, technique, and confidence at the piano. My journey has taken me from Carnegie Hall to concert stages in Japan, and today, my passion is helping students unlock their own musical voice.

My Story

At 10, I was accepted into the studio of Ellen Masaki, one of Hawai‘i’s most respected piano teachers. There, I was introduced to high-level performance, competitions, and a supportive musical community.

I later studied with Dr. Thomas Yee, under whose guidance I made my orchestral debut as a soloist and performed multiple concertos with orchestra. At 15, I made my Carnegie Hall debut, a milestone that deeply shaped my growth as a musician.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music with a minor in Business from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, gaining both musical depth and practical skills for running my own studio.

Since 2014, I have taught students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced competitors. Many have performed internationally, including Carnegie Hall and stages in Japan, and have earned recognition in local and national competitions.

Music has always been a sanctuary for me. Today, it is my greatest joy to share that gift with my students.

Teaching Philosophy

Learning piano is about more than playing the right notes — it’s about building discipline, fostering creativity, and developing a deep, personal connection to music.

I combine high expectations with genuine encouragement, challenging students to reach their fullest potential because I believe in their abilities, often before they believe in themselves. Lessons are tailored to each individual, integrating technique, theory, sight-reading, and musical interpretation to develop well-rounded musicians.

Whether a student aims to perform at Carnegie Hall, prepare for competitions, or simply play for personal fulfillment, I emphasize expression, confidence, and self-belief alongside technical skill. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love of music that extends beyond the studio.
